General planning is a highly complex field. To tackle it effectively, we always designate one person as the main focal point and contract partner and they always maintain an overview, take care of overall management, and bear overall responsibility for a construction project. What this means is that we involve all the necessary specialist planners as early as possible. We try to create as few planning and contract interfaces as possible, seamlessly dovetailing design, planning, project management and controlling. We also coordinate all architectural and engineering services right up until the building is ready for occupation. All this presents a huge challenge. To ensure we are able to manage it across our various locations and project teams, we have set up our own system for quality assurance of project work.
